HDS is a type of airdrop system for platform loads where the load is extracted from an aircraft. To slow the descent of the loads cargo parachutes are affixed to the platform loads and honeycomb as shock absorbers are annexed to the platform to ensure minimum landing shock. The platform is modular in nature with a defined width for each module. The length of the heavy drop platform can be altered as per the payload requirements based on the computation of the modules.
